Drug rehab and drug education non profit redoubles its offensive against drinking and driving in Canada
TROIS-RIVIERES, Quebec - The drug rehabilitation centre and drug education non profit organization, Narconon Trois-Rivieres, today steps up its anti drink driving campaign with the release of its new Public Service Announcement video "Drinking and Driving in Canada".
The video which can be found on Narconon Trois-Rivieres' YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/narconon3r warns of the dangers of drink driving and reminds viewers that this is a serious issue and one that needs to be taken seriously. The problem is not only getting worse but it is a big killer on canadian roads.
"In 2008, approximately 1,751,100 cars were involved in accidents in Canada," the PSA claims. "Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Canada estimates that approximately 149,028 of these crashes involved drinking and driving. In this same year, 1,162 fatalities were caused by drinking and driving on the canadian roads. These numbers are increasing year after year. Drink responsibly. Drive responsibly. This message was brought to you by Narconon Trois-Rivieres. http://www.narconon.ca - alcohol rehab center."
A second anti drink driving video is planned for the very near future, and this campaign is the latest in many that Narconon Trois-Rivieres has run over the years.
"We feel so strongly about this issue that we are determined to do something about it - especially to reduce the number of innocent children who are needlessly losing their lives in Canada due to drink driving. We sincerely hope that our new PSA will make a difference. Please encourage others to watch it," says JF Dubreuil of Narconon Trois-Rivieres.
